DESCRIPTION:

You've turned to writing to process feelings in a therapeutic manner in times of crisis, but have you considered the role crises or hardships play in your writing? How do you reorganize your writing life to get back on track? What about all of the experiences, new perspectives, and lessons learned while moving through a crisis? Can you use those in your writing? Is there a story hidden there that can help you stay motivated or enrich your writing?

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Dr. Kerin Groves is an expert in personal and professional development, working with individuals, groups, and organizations to help establish plans for lifelong growth. Dr. Groves is the author of Parent's Guide to Career Exploration for K-12th+ Students and Student Activity Workbook: Career Exploration for K-12th+. She uses her diverse background in psychology, education, research, and business to strengthen not only people and organizations from the inside out but also works with writing organizations and writers to help discover plans and goals that will help them be more successful in their writing goals. Dr. Groves helps writers uncover the hidden stories in their imaginations and life experiences.


The Writers Guild of Texas presents Guest Speaker / Program meetings on the 3rd Monday of each month in the Basement Program Room of the Richardson Public Library AND via Zoom. Visitors are welcome to attend.
