About the WGT

The Writers Guild of Texas (WGT) is a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization serving the writing community of Texas. Our mission is to provide a sociable environment that encourages, educates, and engages writers of any genre and of any experience level. Some of our members are published authors, enjoying successful writing careers. Others are just starting out and want to learn more about the business and craft of writing. Regardless of which one you are, we believe we have something of value to offer you on your writing journey. We invite you to visit a meeting or contact us with any questions.
